In 1968, we started the first company dealing with Prescription Audits in the world.
In the ’60s, moved by intense and profound changes in the midst of a very creative context, we generated a new venture from an ORIGINAL IDEA.
Close-Up International started under the leadership of a prestigious group of professionals from the health care, chemistry and pharmaceutical industry, and became the pioneer company in the development and application of new analysis and research techniques, providing the first Audits and Reports in the Prescription Market.
Our contribution to the knowledge of market trends has been essential and has promoted an efficient and transparent relation: Laboratories / Physicians.
In a short time, Close-Up International began to launch Prescription Audits in its international operations. In the first stage, Mexico and Brazil were launched, and later several other countries in Latin America were included.
At the end of the decade of 1990, Close-Up International managed to get regional coverage, reaching all countries in Latin America and Spain.

In 2003, Close-Up International launches Close-Up Regional®, a web-based tool that enables consolidation of the information from all the countries in Latin America on a BI application.
December, 2008. Close-Up International, the main Prescription Audits company in Latin America, acquires IMS Health’s Prescriptions business.
IMS is the main information and consulting solutions supplier in the world.
This transaction contemplated a subsequent strategic agreement to be signed for the joint creation of new consultancy products for the pharmaceutical market.

December 2009. Close-Up International signed a major agreement to acquire INESTRA’s business in BRAZIL. This acquisition further consolidates the leading position that Close-Up International has held since 1971 in the main Latin American market.
The acquisition of INESTRA’s operation in Brazil and Mexico has enabled the consolidation of technology changes and shared experiences to benefit our clients.
The new organization in Brazil will continue with its current products and will launch new products using a mega database and providing a wider coverage.
With this agreement, INESTRA becomes a division within Close-Up International, specializing in services and technology applications.

December, 2011. Close-Up International has acquired Cedat Health, a company dedicated to the development and commercialization of SFAs (Sales Force Applications) for more than 15 years.
This transaction represents the incorporation of additional technology to our company, as well as new expertise in iPad utilization in the market, since Cedat Health had a presence of approximately 1 year in the Brazilian market and was operating in an big laboratory with more than 1,600 representatives.
With this acquisition, approximately 20 new clients have joined sfNet operations, which has placed our company as the leading provider of this technology in Latin America.
